With the Bush Administration fending off accusations of illegal domestic spying, the last thing it needed was the disclosure in the New York Times that Vice President Cheney's residence is intentionally blurred on Google Earth-- the software that allows users to see satellite photos of any spot on the planet--though the White House itself is visible. Bush-bash bloggers like GEM'S GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE cheered, "Maureen Dowd Is the Best!!" for her column crying hypocrisy over what she called the Veep's "pathological secrecy." OGLE EARTH, however, deemed Dowd's piece little more than a "conspiracy theory," and ANGEL DRESSED IN BLACK asked, "Does anyone really think that it's out of line to obscure the details of high-profile targets?"
