Time Out With Maurice Greene

By Sean Gregory

Defending gold-medal sprinter Greene will wear Adidas' Formotion Sprint Suit in Athens if he qualifies this week for the Olympic team at the U.S. track-and-field trials. The suit, made of advanced fabrics, will be available to consumers next spring.

How does the suit help you? Every material helps your muscles work in the direction that you want them to. It's like having an extra little chiropractor.

Are the doping scandals a black cloud over your sport?

Of course. It takes away from the joy of the sport. People just assume everyone in track and field is involved. It's not [true]. It's a select few. It's not fair for those that are clean.

Why should TV viewers still care about Olympic track and field? We will have nothing but clean people in the Olympic Games. And I would like to think my running is like poetry in motion. You will get excited. I guarantee it.
