A Litter Of Feline Films
By Rebecca Winters
A LITTER OF FELINE FILMS
Who cares if it's just fluff? This summer positively purrs with kitty cinema. In Catwoman, due July 23, a vengeance-seeking HALLE BERRY uses her feline powers to whip an evil cosmetics company into shape. An Oscar winner in a shredded-leather suit? Dog people of the world, surrender.
PRIDE
Inspired by a nature documentary, this live-action A&E lion's tale due on DVD Sept. 7 features Kate Winslet voicing a rebellious cub named Suki. Think Babe, with fur.
TWO BROTHERS
Adventurer GUY PEARCE returns two mistreated tigers to the wild in an animal-rights fable from the director of 1988's The Bear. Finally, a film PETA families can enjoy together.
GARFIELD: THE MOVIE
In this feature based on the Jim Davis comic strip, Garfield's owner brings home dopey doggy Odie to woo a foxy vet. But even Bill Murray voicing the droll, digitally rendered tabby hasn't made moviegoers go meow.
