Snapping Up a Printer

By Sora Song

You took beautiful pictures with your new digital camera on your summer vacation, but now all you have to show for them is a folder full of files on your hard drive. Good news: photo-quality printers are getting better and cheaper than ever. After reading the experts' assessments, we found three consistently highly rated printers, all for less than $150.

Epson Stylus Photo 820: One of the best deals out there, say critics. For $99, its six ink colors produce crisp, nuanced prints.

Epson Stylus C80: An all-around safe bet and award winner, below, it uses water-resistant ink that the company says will last up to 70 years.

Canon S750 Color Bubble Jet: Instead of two ink tanks, this printer has four, each with a different color; so it's fast (up to 13 color pages a minute) and wastes less ink. --By Sora Song
