The planned barrier consists of multiple obstacles for would-be infiltrators and is similar to a network that runs along Israel's border with Jordan. Building it will cost $1.6 million per mile. The government so far has approved construction along 75 miles (120 km) of the Green Line, and the Defense Ministry hopes to fence off the entire West Bank
