The CIA was privately warning last week that two Pakistanis arrested in a Manila apartment earlier this month may be part of a sophisticated Islamic terror cell targeting Pope John Paul II during his Philippine visit, as well as U.S. airlines. The evidence? U.S. intelligence sources say that not only were bombmaking materials found in the apartment, so too were order forms for clerical robes and schedules for various U.S. airlines. "This is causing very serious concern here," said a State Department aide in Washington.
