Writer-critic Arthur Burton Rascoe is 36. Eight years ago he was literary and dramatic editor of the Chicago Tribune, "World's Greatest Newspaper." Since then other Rascoe jobs have been: associate editor of McCall's, literary editor of the New York Tribune (now Herald Tribune}. editor of Johnson Features, Inc., literary-critic of Arts & Decorations, editor of The Bookman. Last week the latest Rascoe position was announced--associate editor of Plain Talk, red-covered monthly (circulation 25,700) edited by Geoffrey Dell ("G. D.") Eaton in somewhat the manner of Henry Louis Mencken's kraut-liveried American Mercury (circulation 69,000).
