"Like I Did"

William Howard Taft, between whose candidacy as Roosevelt's heir and Mr. Hoover's as the Coolidge heir certain similarities had been noted, called at the Hoover campaign house one day last week. The Chief Justice of the U. S. may not interest himself in politics, so it was as ex-President and fellow Republican that Mr. Taft bade Mr. Hoover adieu and said to the press: "He acts like a winner all right. He feels like I did in 1908, not by any means like I felt in 1912."
