Queer Election
One third of the Senators in the Danish Landsting (Senate) were elected last week for an eight-year term. The other two-thirds were elected four years ago for an eight-year term. Last week's voting resulted in slight gains for the Socialist-Pacifists (who demand abolition of the Danish army), and cut down from ten to four the majority in the Landsting now held by Liberal Prime Minister Thomas Madsen-Mygdal. The Folketing (Lower House) was elected two years ago for a four-year term.
