"Christian Soldiers"

The campaign song of the G. 0. P., as announced last week in a speech at Boston by U. S. Representative Franklin W. Fort of New Jersey, Secretary of the Republican National Committee, will be to the tune of "Onward, Christian Soldiers." Mr. Fort did not state whether the words of the hymn would be sung, or a special lyric substituted. The words of "Onward, Christian Soldiers" (first verse) are as follows:

Onward, Christian Soldiers,

Marching as to war,

With the cross of Jesus

Going on before.

Christ, the royal master,

Leads against the foe.

Forward into battle,

See His banners go.
