Disillusion?

In 1925, the preponderance of farmers becoming city men over city men becoming farmers, was 834,000. In 1926, it was 1,020,000. Last year, it dropped to 604,000. Secretary of Agriculture Jardine, part of whose business it is to tabulate these transmigrations, said he believed that the new figures "reflect the improved agricultural conditions, the disillusionment of those who sought better economic conditions in cities . . . and the slight slackening of industrial employment."
