Balkan Armaments

Someone charged that Bulgaria is an armed menace to her neighbors. This was hotly resented by the Bulgarian Foreign Office, which, having discoursed about the country's good intentions and the amount of war material which it was forced to hand over to the Allied authorities, computed the strength of Balkan armaments as follows:

Bulgaria--24 infantry companies, 24 batteries, 12 squadrons of cavalry, 24 quick firing companies, 3 engineering companies.

Greece--126 infantry 'companies, 102 batteries, 12 squadrons of cavalry, 126 quick firing companies, 19 engineering companies.

Serbia--150 infantry companies, 134 batteries, 65 squadrons of cavalry, 150 quick firing companies, 16 engineering companies.
