America Helps Bohr
The International Education Board, a Rockefeller philanthropy, appropriated $40,000 for Prof. Niels Bohr, the atomic expert of the University of Copenhagen (TIME, Nov. 19), for the enlargement of his research laboratory in theoretical physics. American physicists as well as others from foreign countries will conduct investigations in the Danish laboratory, which is supported in part by the Danish government. Dr. Bohr will specialize on investigation of the infra-red region of the spectrum and on X-ray spectra.
