The Steinmetz Truck

We have long had the Edison phonograph, the Maxim silencer, the Bell telephone. Now we are to have the Steinmetz truck. Dr. Charles P. Steinmetz, " wizard of Schenectady," has been working for several years to perfect an electrical truck. The product of his efforts has been placed on the market, and full-page advertisements are appearing in the newspapers. They bear a statement over Dr. Steinmetz's signature that the trucks effect a saving of from 25 to 50 per cent over gasoline and horse-drawn vehicles, and a picture of the inventor--perfecto in mouth--covering a quarter of the page.
